Hispanic Scholarship Fund Application Available

Are you a Hispanic student in school? Do you know someone who is Hispanic and is attending college? Then you need to make sure that they know about the Hispanic Scholarship Fund application. Starting September 1, 2009, the application for the scholarship is available on the HSF website. In order to apply you must register on their website and start to submit all the requirements that they require of students. This is helpful because you will be able to see everything that you have turned in and what you are missing.

This fund differs from other scholarships because they consider you an important applicant. HSF has been known to send you a letter or a card to remind you that you are missing a certain document. They truly care that you have a chance of getting all your information in so that you can be considered for the scholarship. This is an organization that you will want to be a part of even after you finish college.

I am considered one of their alumni. They send me updated information on what is going on with the organization as well as employment opportunities. Thats right, they are connected with employers as well and you can view job openings on their site as well. It helps if you have been a recipient of the scholarship before you apply. Many corporate sponsors give money towards the scholarship. How do I know? Because I have received the scholarship when I was working on my graduate degree. So i’ll take this time to say thank you to Target because they were responsible for me receiving a check for $2,500 to go towards my tuition, simply because they gave to the fund.

So do not underestimate this fund because you may be missing out on a good opportunity to pay for all or partial tuition. It’s a shame that so many do not apply. Applying is like a job, remember you are getting paid to be the best student applicant.

My name is Alexandra and am a Hispanic student at the Univ. of Fl. Gainesville. I am a sophomore. Because both my parents work, I did not qualify for need scholarships, even though I truly do need the money to pay for my room and board. Is there any scholarship/grant available for someone such as myself? My GPA is over 3.0, and my high school GPA was 3.8. Please advice and let me know what grants I would be eligible to apppy for.
    Thank you
